Sr. High Camp

Yeah, pretty much awesome.  Don't know where to start.  I guess I'll tell my story since everyone else has a chance to tell their own.  First, young people are beginning to see, understand, and accept the love and promises of God.  When that happens, they become hungry for what He has for them.  When they are given a time and place that they know is specifically for worship, they are beginning to dive in.  My Father did a great work in many lives this last week and I was no exception.  Besides the basic pumping up of one's spirit, God placed people at camp that greatly encouraged me in the way that God has me going.  Never before have I experienced the amount of encouragement or the specific nature of some of it.  God has also shown me over time just how much He has blessed my family and that we can't take it for granted just because we live with it everyday.  But, of course the more interesting parts of the story are always the outright and powerful acts of God, so here we go... First, I just want to thank God for the love He has bestowed on me to give to those around me.  He has given me visions of love and shown examples of it all my life and I thank Him for this opportunity.  But, sometimes, I neglect the Father's love and He really connected with me on that issue.  As worship and ministry time continued Saturday night, my Father took me aside and spent some time with me.  He kept showing me visions of me playing with my son, which of course made me miss my son Caleb, but He just told me, "You don't have him right now, but I have you".  And behind the cover of the projector screen, I danced with Him.  We had some great time there, but of course, it wasn't all about me.  After the dancing, He wanted me to take that Fatherly love and minister to a couple youth that I know have their own father issues.  Earlier that night, He had shown me a vision of one of the girls there from His perspective, but it didn't seem like the right time or setting to convey this to her.  But the next day she testified that she had been ministered to mostly about God accepting her and healing her life-long worry about how she looks.  So, with my wife with me, I told her about the vision and it all really tied together.  Awesome.  Another cool thing that happened was not only was I getting those small visions, but I was also hearing some things.  During worship, I sing a lot of harmony parts and I enjoy it.  The coolest thing was, there were a few times I was actually lead to sing those parts.  Both in worship and in practice, there were a couple times when I could actually hear the harmony part being sung, but I know it wasn't BJ or Ryan.  So, without thinking about it, I took it as my que to start singing.  And there have been a couple times since then that I have heard the first couple syllables of tongues, so of course I start praying in tongues and it all flows.  Interesting?  Yeah.  I think so.

Second blog entry ever...

Well, God is great.  So great, there isn't much else that compares even in conversation.  I don't have much else to talk about.  I look forward to Sr. High Camp, worship practice, and the current and eventual plans of my heavenly Father.  Sounds boring?  Is it boring when you can see His work so evident in your life?  Is it boring when your work ethic is simply formed to that taught by His Spirit and from that you gain favor with all those you work with, including the bosses?  Is it boring when the small nudgings you had about your kids before they were born start to clarify and enlarge even at the young age of 5, or younger?!  Is it boring when Jr. High kids that don't claim much knowledge of the spiritual realm have experiences that I am jealous of?!!  Is it boring to look ahead to the near future where we stop saving our "God Seeking" time for certain days of the week or certain weeks of the year, and do it all the time so we can finally break out of our repenting cycle and begin to live by the Spirit?!!!
PHeeewww...that was fun.

First Blog Entry!! Yeah!
